When I started to look for tattoo designs I found many pages that looked really interesting, but when I went to each of them to look through them in detail, more often than not, they really didn't have what I was looking for or the designs were of rather poor quality. When you get a tattoo it should be an expression of what you want the world to know about you. It's a decision that you will likely have to live with for the rest of your life, so it's really too important a decision to risk on a poor design.
So because I do have pretty high standards it was difficult for me to find a good design among what was freely available on the web. Then one day I stumbled across the Tattoo Me website which had great designs that you can download. There's a members gallery with dozens of categories, ratings and reviews and there's a studio directory with listings for over 10,000 studios in 38 different countries. Plus they have a great discussion forum and a cool video vault. It's not just a website, it's really a whole online community built around body art. How cool is that!!
